Sofapaka axes defender

Jonathan Mugambi has officially been released by former Kenyan Premier League [KPL] champions Sofapaka football club.

Mugubi who joined the club from Soana Fc in Uganda in 2017 has featured in almost all matches played by the club during the last season will be replaced by a foreigner - yet to be named. 

-We are bringing in another foreigner from Burundi into the team and after consultations, the team decided to release him (Mugambi). It's a decision arrived at after consultation. It's in best interest of the player and the team, Ssimbwa told futaa.

This means that the remaining foreigners  in Sofapaka are keeper Mathias Kigonya, Rodgers Aloro, Unar Kasumba, Ali feni and the new player.
