Manchester City are reportedly interested in acquiring Leicester defender Harry Maguire.
Sources from within the Etihad claim that City boss Pep Guardiola has signed off on a £50m bid for the Englishman in order to further bolster his already formidable defense as the race for the coveted Premier League title intensifies.
Maguire has been arguably the most outstanding player on the Foxes squad this season and is being credited by analysts as being one of the main factors behind the English side's resurgence after registering a poor start to their current campaign.
The 24-year-old’s exploits are believed to have caught Pep’s eye and ‘impressed’ the tactician so much that the manager is willing to part with the absurd amount of money to acquire the linchpin in order to give current options Vincent Kompany and John Stones some healthy competition, and provide the necessary depth to cope with the demands of the various competitions the league leaders are currently involved in this season.
