Kenya Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks is set to hold trials to recruit players for its U17 and U13 junior teams on Saturday 13th at the Utalii training ground.
The senior team held its trials last year as it prepares to launch its second campaign in the Kenya Premier League. The club aims to recruit eligible players who will be integrated into the Junior team.
- Kariobangi Sharks prides itself in being a hub for budding young players in their quest to being the next big thing in the world of football. Providing guidance and giving them that exclusive opportunity to showcase their talent, the club said.
- And in following in that tradition, a trial camp for junior players aged 17 years and below will be hosted at the Utalii grounds on Saturday 13th January and overseen by our capable coaching staff. The aim is to acquire players who can be integrated into our Under-13 and Under-17 squads, it added.
Sharks had a remarkable season that saw them finish third and will surely aim higher this season despite losing key members of the squad that ensured the said success. Masoud Juma, the club's last top scorer has left for South Africa to join Cape Town City, Ibrahim Kitawi and Ellie Asieche have shifted allegiance to rivals Sofapaka who finished a place above them. Mathew Tayo returned to his former club Tusker.
