Gor Mahia full back buoyed by new signings

Gor Mahia full back Wellington Ochieng' has welcomed imminent competition in his club position after the arrival of Wesley Onguso from Sofapaka.

Ochieng also believes the acquisition of Humphrey Mieno from 2016 champions Tusker and Lawrence Juma are good additions to the team as they will require depth and balance in the season ahead. Juma arrived from Nzoia Sugar. Godfrey Walusimbi has been Gor Mahia's first choice at right-back position where Onguso and Ochieng will be required to ply trade too.

Great Pillar

- Onguso is one of the full backs that performed well with the national team and will be a good pillar of our team. The competition within the squad is  always good and healthy which makes one prove himself to the coach.  Mieno and  Juma will add good depth into our side and that is mainly because we have some people like Kenneth Muguna who have left, I think it is in the wisdom of our team staff that they brought the duo to add new and fresh blood to Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia will have full in-tray as they get back to the continental duties in the CAF Champions League. They will also hope to defend the title after winning it last season for the sixteenth time.
