Wantaway Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has reportedly turned down a move to bitter rivals Manchester United.
Sources claim that the Chilean has ruled out the switch to Old Trafford since he is only focused on reuniting former boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad despite recent hints from the marksman’s agent that had linked a shocking transfer to the Red Devils since the English giants were more willing to meet the 29-year-old’s hefty salary demands.
United made headlines on Thursday after speculations suggested that Jose Mourinho’s side had launched a stunning £25m bid for Sanchez, which also included out-of-favour playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan in an attempt to blow their competition out of the water in the race for the talisman.
City, however, remains committed to signing the former Barcelona star in the ongoing transfer window having already been rumoured to have agreed on personal terms with the goal-getter, who appears close to securing his dream move to the league leaders.
