Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is reportedly on course to make a return from injury next month.
Sources from within the Etihad have disclosed that the Brazilian underwent a medical evaluation by Barcelona-based specialist Dr. Ramon Cugat on Thursday, who confirmed that the marksman has not sustained any cruciate ligament damage.
The source further revealed that Cugat is confident that Jesus will be able to resume action within five weeks - a development that has made the league leaders breath a huge sigh of relief since they were at risk of being without the 20-year-old’s services for at least the next two months.
City now hopes that Jesus, who has scored eight league goals and assisted another two in 12 starts this season, will make a quick and full recovery from his injury in order to bolster their march to the coveted Premier League title.
