Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly disclosed that midfielder Mesut Ozil is likely to remain with the club whereas forward Alexis Sanchez is likely to leave the Emirates this January.
Speaking in a recent press conference, Le Professeur stated - It looks like Sanchez will not extend his contract, but we want to keep Jack (Wilshere) and if we have an opportunity maybe to keep Ozil, the rebuild will be less deep than if all three left.
The Frenchman further added - Incidentally he's (Ozil) won trophies with us. So he wants to fight as well for the Premier League, that's normal when you are at that level. These guys want to win, and they want to make money as well. So they want a combination of the two that big clubs can give them.
Wenger further lamented about the current transfer situation which he believes is brought about by greedy agents who demand hefty commissions for their players to move to other clubs, which in turn increase the likelihood of wantaway stars remaining with their current teams until the end of their contracts.
