Kenyan Premier League 2017 awards hero Michael Madoya has admitted that it got him by surprise to win four awards during the awards gala held on Friday 12th January in a Nairobi Hotel.
According to the ZOO Fc youngster, the awards were a sweet reward for a season he say he gave his all and says that he feels motivated to work even harder after the recognition that saw him get four of the coveted awards.
-I am very delighted to have won these awards since it shows that my efforts did not go to waste and have now been rewarded. I did not expect that all these would be mine but I knew probably I would get one but having them four is a total surprise for me, he stated.
Madoya, an offensive midfielder with the KPL newbies bagged the midfielder of the year award, fair player of the year, new player of the year while the player of the year award [MVP] capped the memorable evening for the talented speed-star.
The player alongside teammates Nicholas Kipkirui, Vincent Misikhu, Gideon Kibet and Isaac Kipyegon are all being trailed by other KPL sides and Zoo team manager Lazarus Odanga has warned clubs against speaking to his players without the club consent.
