The Kenyan Premier League coach of the year William Muluya has lauded his team Kariobangi Sharks following his award at the 2017 awards gala held in Nairobi on Friday 12th January.
According to the former Mathare United assistant coach, the team played a huge role in winning by sticking together and working towards a common goal despite the rough start too the season.
-I would like to that God first of all and also the team; which is made up of management and players. The award is not mine but for the team so I thank all the stated who have made it come to be, he stated.
-I was confident though we suffered a shaky start and many thought we would not make it to the very end but towards the end players put in efforts and we rose and hence we were not very surprised to finish on a better footing, he added.
Muluya beat competition from Sofapaka's Sam Ssimbwa and Kakamega Homeboyz boss Mike Mururi who finished second and third respectively. Posta's Sammy Pamzo Omolo and Nzoia Sugar's Bernard Mwalala had also been nominated.
