16 for Wanyama in Everton thumping

Kenya's international midfielder Victor Wanyama was introduced in the 74th minute as Tottenham Hotspur smashed Everton 4-0 in their league action played on Saturday 13th January at the Wembley Stadium.

Harry Kane netted a brace in the 47th and 59th minute to become Tottenham's record Premier League goalscorer and seal what was a comfortable home victory.

Song on Song

A superb Son had opened the scoring for Spurs from a Serge Aurier's cross before the South Korea international hit a post as the hosts zoomed off.

Christian Eriksen smashed in a fourth from the edge of the penalty area late on after a fine backheel from Dele Alli.

Former Manchester United hit-man Wayne Rooney thought he had put Everton ahead with a header but he was adjudged offside as the game was still goalless.

Tottenham are now unbeaten in six matches but remain fifth in the Premier League, level on points with Liverpool and 18 points behind leaders Manchester City.
