Thika United head coach Nicholas Muyoti has hinted that he will need to sign one or two players in the ongoing transfer window to strengthen his side that struggled last season.
Specifically, the tactician says that he needs to replace Wilson Anekeya and Suleiman Ngotho who have signed for their Kenya Premier League rivals Kakamega Homeboyz and Posta Rangers respectively.
- Yes, we must sign players especially in defence and striking departments, the many draws and lost matches in the last campaign show us that this is the area to strengthen. We have lost two important players Anekeya and Ngotho and that means we have to get replacements faster. We had targeted to sign some players but unfortunately, they have joined or are in the course of joining other teams. My worry is that we may not have our main striker Onwudi Chibueze who will be having trials outside and so he may not be part of us next season, Muyoti told Futaa.com.
Muyoti, however, did not reveal where the Nigerian is heading to but hinted that he might be on his way out of the country. Thika survived in the KPL after seeing off National Super League heavyweights Ushuru in two-legged promotion playoffs.
