Kenyan Premier League side SoNy Sugar has made nine new signings ahead of 2018 Kenyan Premier League season that kicks off in under a fortnight.
SoNy lost a number of key players to rivals after the close of 2017 campaign. Lead scorer George Abege moved to Posta Rangers while Amos Asembeka was roped in by Tusker. Abdalla Hamisi and Justin Omari are reportedly heading out of the club as well.
The club has now beefed up its playing unit by signing nine new players. Among the signed is former AFC Leopards Ugandan defender Yakubu Ramadhan, former Nairobi Stima central defender Martin Nzamba and Kevin Muhanji a midfielder formerly with Vihiga United.
Others include former Muhoroni Youth pair of goalkeeper Salim Sowedi and winger Daniel Otieno. Former Isibani and Palos FC attacking midfielder Clinton Omondi, Steven Otieno a rookie winger from Kisumu Hot Stars, Derrick Otanga a striker from Naivas FC and Kakamega High School prodigy, Moses Mwangi, the attacker featured for Ulinzi Stars juniors during the KPL U20 tournament in 2016.
