Wazito FC head coach Frank Ouna believes the team has made the right changes to the squad that will debut in the Kenya Premier League when it kicks off in a fortnight.
Ouna's comments were supported by his Chief Executive Officer Luthers Mokua who says that the signings and changes effected by Wazito will make them send a statement in the league campaign. Although the former National Super League side lost some of its important players, Ouna is optimistic that they are ready for the top tier challenge.
“NSL was tough but the hard work of the players and support of the fans and management made it easier. The Premier League is different and you have to change your squad. We have changed a few out of choice but unfortunately lost others. We have beefed up and now ready for the big kick off," Ouna told the club's portal.
“The new signings have unique skills and talent that will help us make a statement in our KPL debut. We are in KPL as contenders and not as participants. We have put together a very tactical Technical bench coupled with talented players," CEO Mokua said on his part.
Among players brought are ex Posta Rangers midfielder Moses Otieno, former Tusker FC striker Kenneth Wendo and AFC Leopards duo Harun Nyakha and Ibrahim Mao.
