Kenyan Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks has confirmed the capture of former Mathare United star Harrison Mwendwa on a two-year deal.
Mwendwa left the Slum Boys late last year and the winger has expressed delight at joining the William Muluya -coached side. This is a boost for Sharks after losing important players in the ongoing transfer window.
"The club is delighted to announce the capture of midfielder Harrison Mwendwa from Mathare United," Sharks announced.
Mwendwa believes that he has joined a club that will give him the platform to perform better than last season. Mathare was embroiled in a relegation dog fight for the better part of the 2017 season only to survive after a late resurgence.
"I am delighted to be joining Kariobangi Sharks FC. This is a new start for me and my career and I hope together we can better last season's performance. I believe I am joining the right club with the right players and I can't wait to get started here," Mwendwa said.
Sharks has lost Ibrahim Kitawi and Ellie Asieche to Sofapaka and Masoud Juma who joined Cape Town City of South Africa.
