Tusker FC head coach Sam Timbe has exuded full confidence in new skipper Duncan Ochieng and assistant Llyod Wahome.
The Ugandan tactician believes that the duo will steer his team to success after being handed the new roles officially on Thursday 1st February. Ochieng' has replaced James Situma as captain while Wahome will fill the void left by Humphrey Mieno who ditched Tusker for reigning Kenyan Premier League champions, Gor Mahia.
Speaking to the club website, Timbe said the experienced players are natural leaders who he believes will play an integral part in the team's success.
"Duncan and Lloyd were a straight forward pick for me and the technical bench, having been the longest serving players in the club. They are natural leaders and even when I got here it was clear to see. I have complete faith in them and believe that they will lead this club to new success," he said.
Tusker begins its 2018 campaign against Chemelil Sugar on Saturday 3 February at the Chemelil Sports Complex.
