Riyad Mahrez says he will play for Leicester City again, BUT, some conditions must be met.
The Algerian’s failed move to Manchester City had him fuming and he swore never to feature for the Foxes again. But he might have eaten a humble pie, as he now wants to play again, but with conditions, as reported by The Times.
What are the conditions?
Mahrez wants the club to provide an assurance that they will not stand in his way if City, or anyone else, want to sign him. Another solution could be to agree on a release clause. He wants either conditions met. That’s it.
This, however, makes no sense at all. Back in 2016, Mahrez signed a new four-year-contract contract with Leicester. The big boys were interested in him. Why did he not ask for the inclusion of a release clause?
It's safe to say he has lost the respect of many Foxes’ fans.
