Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has reportedly resumed training.
The German was recently pictured jovially leaving City’s training ground - a development that is undoubtedly a welcome sign by the champions-elect since it hints at the marksman’s return to action in the not-so-distant future.
Sane has been sidelined since City’s FA Cup clash against Cardiff on January 28th. The 22-year-old had to unceremoniously exit the fixture at half-time after finding himself on the receiving end of a nasty tackle by Cardiff left-back Joe Bennett.
City thereafter confirmed that the goalgetter underwent scans which revealed that the former Schalke star had sustained ankle ligament damage - an injury that normally keeps players out of commission for up to eight weeks.
However, the team’s medics who conducted the scans also disclosed that there was “no timeline” on the linchpin’s recovery. This revelation has Cityzens fans believing that the pacy ace will be back on the pitch sooner rather than later.
