Ulinzi suicide, Millers triumph

SoNy Sugar  will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the Kenya Premier League again this weekend, when they host a tough Ulinzi side at Awendo Stadium.

The Millers go into the match after 0-1 loss in the hands of newcomers Wazito on Saturday as Benard Omondi was shown a red card for his  late tackle on Waithira. Against a tricky Ulinzi side, Salim Babu’s side will be extra cautious not to suffer another setback. The tactician is well aware of the task at hand, and that task needs to be done without his key assassin in suspended Benard Omondi.

Replacement

In Omondi’s absence, Salim is likely call on Olare Samuel but is not expected to rotate his goalkeepers with Kevin Omondi remaining the first choice. Former Bandari star Tyrone Sisia could also finally be handed the central midfield role he has been craving as Salim shuffles his pack.

Meanwhile, a 4-2 win at home against Zoo Kericho was statement enough of what Ulinzi can offer this season. However, the Soldiers  still have shown some frailties especially defensively and there is overwhelming evidence when newbies scored twice.

The Verdict

SoNy Sugar are well organised at the back and can anytime pull a stunner. This, despite failing to score a goal in the season opener. In a good day, they can get at least two goals going by the possible lethal partnership between George Abege and Ex-AFC Leopards forward Ray Omondi.

On the other hand, Ulinzi's attack line is a livewire in itself with Masuta, Enosh Ochieng and Kasuti upfront; a charge that can run down any opposition. It’s a very tight match where we should expect goals and at worst likely a draw.
