CAF CL: Gor Mahia admits to finishing concern despite winning start

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr maintains that his side should have carried the day with an even bigger margin against Leones Vegeterianos on Saturday CAF Champions League preliminary round clash in Machakos.

A goal in either half from Kevin Omondi and Ephrem Guikan respectively saw K'Ogalo take a solid two - goal advantage into the return leg even as the match's overall balance remained very different from the scoreline. The host should have certainly been three goals up in the first half and perhaps added another in the second had they been clinical enough with the host of chances they created.

Coach Dylan Kerr shared the same sentiments as he admitted on the need to step up their finishing, a dominated his league opener win against Nakumatt.

"Although the performance and attitude was fantastic, we went to pressure the team straight from kick off. It's pleasant with two goal to take to Equatorial Guinea yet again I thought we could have buried it with more. On the finishing, it is costing us goals and we will keep working on it," Kerr stated.

Gor Mahia will be eyeing at least a draw on any kind when they visit the West Africans side for the return leg tie in two weeks time.
