Nyaudo: Soldiers were unlucky against SoNy

Ulinzi star head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has expressed his disappointment with the weekend KPL round two loss to SoNy Sugar at Awendo Stadium.

Ulinzi lost 0-1 to the Millers and Nyaudo believes this is not a reflection of the result his team should have got. He sadly accept the results as this is football after all.

“I honestly don’t know what to say about that game. Such are the times I don’t even know how to lift my players from this. It was a very unfair result considering the way my boys played,” he told the club portal.

Punished

“They (opponents) got just one chance and punished us yet we had at least four clear ones and didn’t utilize them; that is the game of football at times – you must accept these things,” he added.

Nyaudo although sees improvement from their earlier match against Zoo adding that midfield and defence worked well. He says he will sharpen his attack going into the next match to ensure a win by scoring goals.

“The lapses that we had observed in the previous game were not there and that was positive. The defence worked so well, our midfield too, only for that one mistake from the wingback that came to heavily cost us. It is unfortunate but I cannot blame the boys, they did well,” he added.

Onward march

“Going to that game we will sharpen the finishing a little bit and work on our defence but tactically we are good,” he concluded.

Ulinzi welcomes unbeaten Mathare United at Afraha in KPL match week three.
