The stage is set for a major FKF National Super League (NSL) double header at KPA Mbaraki Sports Club this weekend.
On Saturday 17th February, Coast Stima will host Kisumu AllStars at 3PM. The match will be preceded by another pressure cooker between Modern Coast Rangers and KCB scheduled for 12:30PM.
Coast Stima who are making their debut appearance in the league started off the season with a one-all draw against another green horn Green Commandos at Bukhungu Stadium last weekend.
Kisumu Allstars kicked off the season with a barren stalemate against St. Joseph of Nakuru at Moi Stadium. Coast Stima are placed 8th while Kisumu Allstars are placed 11th on the 20 team NSL log.
Modern Coast Rangers made a false start in the league following a 0-2 loss to relegated Kenya Premier League side Western Stima in the weekend match played at Moi Stadium and will be seeking to avenge the defeat against KCB who earned free points in their first match after Adagala led and KPL relegated Muhoroni Youth failed to show up at Camp Toyoyo.
KCB are placed in the second position while Modern Coast Rangers are placed two positions from bottom of the table. The match was initially set for Bomu stadium but rescheduled to KPA Mbaraki Sports Club due to unavailability of Bomu stadium as a result of the ongoing renovation.
Last week the Mombasa County Chief Executive Officer, Department of Youth, Gender and Sports Babu Rajab paid an inspection visit to Boumu stadium to asses the progress of the construction work and confirmed the Stadium will be ready before the end of this month.
