Rangers scales log, outlines strategy

Modern Coast Rangers head coach Abdulnasser Kassim has described the win over KCB as a sign of strong opposition from their opponents.

Kassim also described the win as a proper show of the team's dedication this season to be better and compete for a place in the Kenyan top tier, KPL.

‘’It was a tough and hard game with full of transition on both halves. Nevertheless, what was important was the three points and i am happy we managed to achieve this,’’ he stated.

Rotating squad

The coach revealed that he is still rotating the squad as he takes a different approaches to every game. Rangers won the match courtesy of an 85th minute goal by Nahashon Thiongo against the run of play. The last time the two sides meet was during the second leg of the FKF NSL at Nairobi in which KCB won 3-0.

After playing two matches rangers have three points from two matches. They made a false start in the league by losing to relegated Kenya Premier League side Western Stima at Moi stadium

Rangers clash with Kenya Police in their next game scheduled for this Sunday at Narok stadium. Kenya Police are placed in the second position on the log after they earned a walk over when their opponents Muhoroni Youth failed to show up at Muhoroni Stadium.
