Chemelil sugar coach Patrick Odhiambo has hailed his players for the hard work they portrayed over Zoo FC on Saturday.
Chemelil won 2-1 against Zoo and it came after they were beaten 0-1 by Posta Rangers. However, Odhiambo has revealed that despite the game being tight and very hard his boys showed no mercy to the opponents. The coach also gave credit to Maxwell Onyango who played an important role in the midfield.
“I must respect Zoo FC because the game was tight and Zoo also is a tough side but I thank God for the points. I must thank the boys for that determination and specifically thank Maxwell Onyango for being superb in the central midfield after changing his role from offensive midfield,” Odhiambo said.
The tactician condemned the way the referee handled the game but urge his side to work on their defence and attack in order to be in a better position.
“Generally, officiating was wanting as centre referee made late calls to fouls but I accepted mistakes are to human beings. Next is to work on lapses in the defense now that we conceded goals every match which is wanting,” he added.
Chemelil plays Nakumatt on Sunday at Machakos stadium.
