Sofapaka goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya’s afternoon was spoilt by a late goal in his team’s 2–1 win over Posta Rangers, on Saturday 3rd March at Kenyatta Stadium, the keeper says.
Kigonya, who has worn the armband for Sofapaka in all the team’s five matches so far, has kept just one clean sheet and seemed to be heading for his second, but Gershon Likono’s late goal killed his ambition.
Though gutted, he says conceding the goal and not getting his second clean sheet motivates him to work harder in the next game for one.
“As a keeper, you always feel bad when you concede; we all want to keep clean sheets but, also it is understandable sometimes errors occur in this game and the disappointment is what should push one to do better in the next game,” he said
Sofapaka will face Kariobangi Sharks in the next game and Kigonya is hoping for better.
