Kericho stalemate prolongs Zoo, Vihiga struggles

Vihiga United and Zoo Kericho stay at the basement of the KPL log is set to continue for another round after the pair clashed to a barren draw this Saturday 10th March in Kericho.

The host proved the hungrier team in the first half and came close form a couple of chance.

Danson Chetambe saw a shot just wide off Barnabas Tiema's goal before KPL MVP Mike Madoya speculative shot also met same fate.

Elungat save

It's Vihiga who came close to a break through from a well laid counter in the 42nd minute. Martin Elungat proved alert to beat opposite player to save the danger.

Bernard Odhiambo should have send Zoo in front but was denied by Tiema in first danger of the final half.

Both set of coaches reverted to their bench to spice up things. Zoo's Sammy Okoth engaging the services of Kepha Andati in place of Chetambe while Wycliffe Oricho came on for Victory Ayugi for Vihiga.

Late chances

Zoo introduction of Kiprono saw the host up the attacking tempo but the host were kept at by vigilant Vihiga's rear guard.

There was nothing to separate the two side in regulation time, with the two set to remain at the bottom of the log after Week 6 ties.
