Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has castigated the centre referee who was in charge of their game against Nzoia Sugar at Kenyatta Stadium in the sixth Kenya Premier League match day.
The Scott alleges that the referee did not engage him professionally when he protested the many decisions that went against his side in a match that was quite entertaining. He further said that during the CAF Champions League match against Esperance, the level of officiating was great compared to the standards seen in KPL.
"I am happy with points but not how we played I don't know what was the problem today. I, however, with the referee have an issue because what he said to me was a disgrace. I cannot comment on it and I would like to see the replay on that penalty, am not KPL but no the ref should not talk to an official like he did today, absolutely shocking, The Egyptian ref was fantastic against Esperance and unfortunately, we come back to KPL standards and are all poor," Kerr said in his post-match interview.
The coach defended his side who looked shaky against struggling Millers and said he gives his players chance to prove to him that they deserve starting berth in his team.
"We missed a penalty, this is Shaban Odhoji' s second appearance and it is the first time they (the new players) have played together. Tomorrow we shall go back to the training as we shall have three sessions before we fly to face Esperance," he added.
Before playing in the continental assignment, Gor now leads the league table with sixteen points five clear of second-placed Mathare United who lost to AFC Leopards.
