Coastal based Bandari FC crashed visiting SoNy Sugar 3-0 in the weekend KPL match played this Sunday.
SoNy Sugar head coach Salim Babu admitted that the opponents did not give them strong opposition blaming the bumpy pitch for the defeat.
Babu insisted that the poor state of the pitch made it impossible for his boys to control the ball and as a result lost possession of the ball to their opponents severally.
You will pay!
‘’Bandari is not a tough team and we did not play our usual game due to the bumpy pitch which made us lose the ball and give them easy goals. As you are aware we are used to playing on a properly levelled pitch and promise to overcome the deficit during the return leg at their Awendo turf which is better off, ‘’ he said.
The millers are placed at the mid-table of the top tier Kenya Premier League with seven points from six matches. The sugar belt team will be seeking to avenge the defeat when they face off with Mathare United in their next league match set for next Saturday in Nairobi.
Mathare United lost 3-4 to AFC Leopards this weekend and will be equally seeking maximum points from the match.
