Ushuru head coach Ken Kenyatta is impressed by the points his side accumulated against green Commandos at Camp Toyoyo on March 11th, 2018.
Ushuru beat Commandos 1-0 to pile more misery on the struggling newbies and boss Kenyatta admits that his ambition was to win. He emphasizes that going top of the table will come later so there is should be no cause for alarm now.
"The match was very tough, but all I needed was three points, and I am glad I got them. I’ll come there (top of the league) as time goes by. No cause for alarm. The league is still very young," he said.
Ushuru is 10th on the log with paltry points eight after six games. The position must be a concern for the team that played in promotion playoffs last season against Thika United. Thika won 2-1 the initial match and drew 0-0 in the second encounter. KCB and Kibera Black Stars top the NSL table with thirteen points. Western Stima and Police fall behind each with eleven points. That shows how tough the race is so far for the second tier league.
