Leopards custodian feted for February exploits

AFC Leopards keeper Jairus Adira has been named as the club's most outstanding player for the month of February.

The former Chemelil keeper becomes the first recipient of the club monthly accolade and takes home the 10,000 prize money as confirmed by the club portal.

Two clean sheets

Adira started the month on a fine form by saving a penalty against Posta Rangers in the league opener. He backed his display with a second shut-out in the CAF CC return leg tie against Fosa Juniors.

His only red lines in the month came in the 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars where he conceded once and twice in a 2-1 loss to Sofapaka.

Members of the team's technical bench and players voted to determine the winner.
