Gor Mahia trialist Thiago Lima Da Silva remains hopeful of featuring for the Kenya Premier League reigning champions next season.

Silva struck headlines during the mid-season transfer window and featured for Gor in friendly matches at the time but the Kenya Premier League defending champions became reluctant to sign him due to fitness concerns.

The Brazilian who was watching as Gor fell to a 1-0 defeat to Muhoroni Youth in the Top 8 Cup on Sunday 16 October 2016 at the Nyayo National Stadium stated that the team played well but was unlucky. He also stated that he is finding Kenyan football very attractive and competitive as he hopes to play for the immediate former Top 8 Cup champions.

-This is football and for me they [players] did their best because they had many chances to score but we had bad luck today so it is football. Now we are putting this behind and preparing for the next match which is in the Premier League and it is now very important for Gor Mahia. Kenyan football is very good and competitive. -There are very strong teams and very strong players; for me it is very different type of football because I have played for different countries and it was a bit tough. I have lived here now for more than one month and I’m good now. I’m ready for next year to show the fans what I can do as I score goals for the champions.

Gor's for the taking

-Of course Gor will win the title this season because the League is not over. Gor mahia has a big name. All we have to do is win win and win these games and we will take the title, concluded.
