Egypt’s Young Pharaohs topped in the Group B  game on 3 December 2011 after  2-0 win over South Africa in their last group match .Thanks to the second half goals from Mohammed El Nenny and Marwan Mohsen.

Twisted up

After a good start that saw them beat Gabon 1-0 on 27 November 2011, young Pharaohs lost the next game to Cote D’Ivore by the same score.

Their dream of meeting super finalists Gabon is shattered after losing in the semi-finals played on 7 December 2011 in Marrakech against Morocco [host].

Last hope

Egypt is left with the last option of facing Senegal for the third place which guarantees the winner an automatic qualification for the London 2012 Olympics as the team finishing fourth will engage a side from Asia in a play-off slotted for 4 April 2012 in London.
