Everton Fc has confirmed that they will play Gor Mahia Fc in a pre-season match in Tanzania on July 13, 2017.

Gor Mahia become the first Kenya Premier League side to play the English Premier League side  Everton on African soil. Four Kenyan clubs Gor Mahia, Tusker, AFC Leopards and Nakuru AllStars were all in contention for the rare date against  Everton.

Goals from Timothy Otieno, Olivier Maloba and John Ndirangu were enough to set the historical clash between the two sides. Beside Gor have pocketed ksh 3 million on offer.

-The Blues will face @OfficialGMFC next month and become the first @premierleague side to play in Tanzania, Everton confirmed in their twitter acount.

Gor Mahia sailed through the entire tournament wothout conceding a single goal. They thrashed Jang'ombe 2-0 before seeing off Nakuru Allstars in the same margin.
