Okwemba dumps Sofapaka for NSL giants

Veteran midfielder Charles Okwemba has dumped Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka and is set to join National Super League side Vihiga United, Futaa.com understands.

 Okwemba joined Sofapaka at the start of 2017 season and has scored thrice for Batoto Ba Mungu including a winning goal against his former club, AFC Leopards.

 He has now opted to jump ship to Vihiga and is expected to play a huge role in United's push for promotion to the Kenyan Premier League for 2018 season.

-Okwemba has opted to leave Sofapaka for Vihiga. He requested that he be released from his contract and his wish was granted, a source from Sofapaka told Futaa.com. 

Okwemba has played for several clubs including AFC Leopards, Ushuru FC and Posta Rangers.
