Draw for Kenya duo in Finland

Kenya Midfieders Amos Ekhalie and Clement Dafaa were in action on Saturday 22  July as Mariehamn FC played to a 1-1 draw with HIFK at Wiklöf Holding Arena.

Ekhalie was handed 58 minutes while Dafaa who missed the Champions League 6-0 loss to Legia Warsaw on Wednesday due to suspension played the entire match.


HIFK scored the first goal in the additional minutes just before half. 32 year old Finland international Jukka Halme was the scorer of the  goal.

Mariehamn equalized at the 60th minute through Kangaskolkka Aleksei  and managed to hold on for a point against the side that is placed in the relegation zone.

Due to the draw, Mariehamn has dropped to fifth on the league standings. They have 26 points from 18 league matches. They have not won in the last five matches in all competition and they will seeking to end the trend when they face Lahti next weekend.
