Jesee Were continued his involvement in goal for Zesco as the five-time Zambian champs beat Lumwana Radiants 1-0 on Wednesday 2 August to move second in FAZ League 

 A rather cagey encounter was to be decided late on as the Kenyan squared out a cross to Maybin Kalengo who applied the finish with only two minutes of regular time remaining.

Three assist one goal

The win moved Zlatko Kromptic team up three places to second on the log.

It also saw the Kenyan striker increase his goal involvement for Zesco where he has been directly involved in all of Zesco's recent four goals. (3G 1A).

Zesco have now gained 35 points from 17 games, just two less than leaders Napsa Stars.
