Wenger admits midfielder may leave

Arsene Wenger has reportedly disclosed that midfielder Jack Wilshere may be allowed to leave the club.

The tactician was recently asked about the 25-year-old’s chances of featuring in his squad come next season, to which Le Professeur answered that though “that decision is not completely made”, the manager wants the Englishman “to have a chance to play somewhere as well”.

Wilshere is arguably one of Arsenal’s saddest stories after the playmaker, who was once considered to be one of England’s most promising talents, failed to establish his place in Wenger’s squad after being sidelined by a string of injuries.

Premier League rivals West Ham United and Serie A side Sampdoria have shown interest in acquiring the midfield specialist this summer.
