Uganda to front for Cecafa women club championship

Federations of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), president, Eng. Moses Magogo has said that the body will front the agenda of women club competition at the regional body.

The federation hosted the pioneer women senior challenge which was hosted in Uganda last year. 

Seven teams including the hosts, Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Burundi took part in the weeklong tournament held in September. 

The plan is part of his football plan for the next four years after his reelection last weekend.

- The women, beach soccer and youth national teams will take part in Cecafa and Caf competitions. We are going to engage Cecafa to introduce Women Club competition and also to organize the women championship, Magogo said.
