Slight improvement for Harambee Stars in FIFA Rankings

Kenya Football National Team, Harambee Stars has moved two placed up on the FIFA Rankings released by the World Football Governing Body on Thursday 10 August.

Harambee Stars which was placed 84th on the Rankings released in July, has moved to position 82. Neigbours Uganda are placed nine places ahead of Kenya and they remain the best ranked (73) Eastern African Nation.


The third position in Eastern Africa is held by Rwanda while Tanzania and Kenya’s Africa Cup of Nation opponents Ethiopia conclude the top five list.

Egypt, DR Congo, Senegal Tunisia and Cameroon are the top ranked teams in the African continent respectively. Brazil has rose to become the best ranked team in the world while Germany has dropped to the second spot.

Argentina remains third while Switzerland and Poland have joined the top five. Harambee Stars has not been action since losing 2-1 to Sierra Leone in June it is expected to be back in action in September.
