Costa in trouble

Costa in trouble

Chelsea forward Diego Costa is set to face disciplinary action for failing to avail himself for the start of the new season.

The Spaniard has been stuck in limbo after Blues boss Antonio Conte informed the marksman that he was no longer welcome in the Chelsea squad at the end of last season. The 28-year-old has since been on a mission to find a new club but he has been unsuccessful thus far.

Despite the current situation, Costa, who was last seen frolicing in the party island of Ibiza, is still however under contract with the defending Premier League champions, which necessitates that the striker show up for training camp and all of the team’s fixtures.

The striker has however been absent without leave for the past two weeks, which may see the former Atletico Madrid star fined up to double of his current £150,000-a-week wages before potential suitors offer the talisman a way out.
