Div.One side, WPL outfit first casualties of relegation ax

Women Premier League side Nyamira Starlets and Division One side Baringo County Starlets have been relegated to the Division One and Branch League respectively for contravening FKF's rules as regards to honouring league matches.

 Football Kenya Federation through its CEO Robert Muthomi notified the teams of the fate which is in accordance to FKF rules.

The two team each failed to honour three league matches. 

Nyamira are culpable of failing to honour ties against Eldoret Falcons, Wadadia and Oserian ladies on April 15, April 29, and June 22, 2017 respectively.

No written explanation

-A club which fails to honor three league matches in the same season without providing written explanations acceptable to the committee will be suspended for the rest of the season, will be relegated to a lower league for the next season and may face other disciplinary action, the federation cited the part of the rule applied as cited by the federation read.
