Kariobangi Sharks has shown class again after beating Mathare United 3-0 at Moi Sports Center, Kasarani on September 13, 2017 extending their dominance over The Slum Boys.

Sharks got the match opener in the 18th minute after Masoud Juma got a good pass into the box where Duke Abuya composed himself before slotting home with a well calculated finish.

Sharks registered the first real chance in the fourth minute by getting a free kick in a promising position, Pattilah Omotto delivered but Lennox Ogutu was on alert to clear the impending danger. Meanwhile the match had to stop after a little kid invaded the pitch.  Juma should have doubled Sharks lead after Mathew Odongo put in a fine pass into the area but Juma's shot went just wide off the left post.

Derrick Onyango should have put matters to parity when he wasted Edward Seda's low cross into the box only for him to shoot wide. On the other side Odongo made quick entry into Mathare's box as he left Derrick Nzonsi for dead but Levis Opiyo made a one hand save to keep matters within reach.

Missed Penalty

Chrispin Oduor missed from the spot after Shark's defender Omwena handled the ball in the area. Oduor miscalculated shot was saved by Robert Mboya who dove to his right to parry away the shot.

Opiyo yet again stood  to save the day for Mathare after making a wonderful save as he denied Juma two chances: One a diving header and another from a one on one scenario.

Ovella Ochieng doubled Sharks lead in the 83rd minute after vollyeing the ball into the box which was met by Odongo who teed Juma and the later produced a sumptuous assist to Ovella who was unmarked. Th forward slotted home past Opiyo with no hurry.

Juma squandered a clear chance in the 68th minute as Abuya worked marvelously to bring the ball into the area only for the Harambee Stars striker to send the ball over the bar unmarked.

Final Juma Goal

After  squandering quite a number of chances, Juma got himself in the score sheet in the 84th minute after getting into the box unmarked and curled a sumptuous shot past Opiyo who had denied him some open chances during the match.
