Big miss for Nondi in Black Sea Derby

Big miss for Nondi in Black Sea Derby

22 Sep 2017, 12:31

Former Gor Mahia star Amos Nondi is set to miss the September 22 Black Sea Derby pitting Poti Kolkheti against arch rivals Dinamo Batumi in the Georgia's Erovnuli Liga at Stadioni Erosi starting 1530Hrs.

Nondi misses the action after accumulating three yellow cards so far. The former KoGalo man enjoyed full time on the pitch in the last match that they lost 2-1 to Chikhura where Kolkheti suffered their fifth consecutive loss.

Kolkheti, home to two other Kenyans John Macharia and Eric Ouma will be looking to advance their dominance over Batumi as they have won the last four encounters.

Batumi's record is also not convincing as it has posted one win in five and lost big when it was thrashed 5-0 by Saburtalo before letting another five into their net with no answer when it faced Kurtaisi Torpedo. In the last Black Sea Derby a record three players from each side were sent  off when the match turned into physical confrontation.

The 9th placed Kolkheti will travel to face on October 15, before hosting Kutaisi all of which will prove to be litmus test for the side threatened by relegation probability.
