NSL: Resilient Wazito hold AP as KCB edge City Stars in controversy marred clash

Wazito FC staged an incredible comeback from three goals down to hold Administration Police 3-3 in an NSL tie played this Sunday 24 At Camp Toyoyo.

Goals from Nelson Asumwa, and Ezekiel Jagero and a defensive blunder from Wazito's stand-in skipper Oliver Kilonzo handed the visitors a comfortable cushion with only eleven minutes left to play.

Improbable fight back

Denis  Gicheru, who had earlier had a first half spot kick goal scrapped off l, was the man of the moment as he inspired the improbable comeback.

The right back first tucked home the host second penalty of day before nodding home a second from a corner.

The stage was set for a tense four minutes and Drank Ouna charges showed their resilience with Zachary Gathu pouncing on AP's sloppy defending to seal the fight back

KCB, City Stars controversy

Elsewhere, KCB needed a late goal to edge hosts Nairobi City Stars 1-0 in a clash marred with controversy of its own.

City Stars, who had a penalty scrapped off for encroachment, forced the clash to a temporary stop in protest of centre referee Memusi.

The protest saw coach John Amboko send to the stands before the blow came late on after KCB grabbed the match winner to continue their winning run.
