Kibera Black Stars coach Godfrey Oduor has hailed his side's fighting spirit following their shocking 2-1 win over Vihiga United on Saturday 30 September at Mumias Sports Complex

Black Stars recovered from an early Amos Kigadi opener for Vihiga to register a 2-1 win against the promotion contenders; Henry Onyango scored both goals for the Nairobi based side.

Oduor has heaped praise on his charges saying they showed good fighting spirit to win the game.

-My boys did well and I want to congratulate them. They showed good fighting spirit after going down and deservedly won because we showed strong character against a very experienced Vihiga United side.

-I watched Vihiga United play Leopards (In the shield Tournament semi final ) and planned well on how to beat them. My boys executed out strategy well and we got the three points.

-Such a win goes a long way in boosting our confidence, my team is very young and beating the league leaders away from home shows we are maturing day by day, he said.

Vihiga's loss blew the promotion race wide.
