Wazito edge City Stars as Vihiga contend with another winless outcome

Kennedy Ayacko scored the sole goal as Wazito FC piped City Stars in a league match at Camp Toyoyo while Vihiga United failed to win for a third game running against AllStars in Afraha.

Wazito's opener came in the 25th minute after  Kennedy Ayacko slotted home from a clever cut back from Pistone  Mutamba.

'Otijo' should have sealed an early brace had he not opted for a casual approach after being set through moments to the interval.

City Stars almost got back on level term after restart but saw their attacker's cross slice the crossbar on its way out.

Wazito nonetheless held our to see George Midenho claim a vital win over his former employers, City Stars.

Elsewhere in Afraha Vihiga United's quest for wins stretched on as  Edward Manoah side battled to a barren stalemate against Allstars.

The tie had plenty of chances in  first half but neither of the team managed to make them count.

Robert Arot's 80th minute effort went close to seeing the host win but Barnabas Tiema was quick to deny the attacker.
