Another unwanted result for Vihiga as NSL top table gets tricky

Another unwanted results for the National Super League side Vihiga United after a goalless draw against hosts Nakuru All Stars at Afraha Stadium on October 4, 2017.

AllStars squandered their only open chance in the 11th minute after a counter attack from Teddy Siwa who teed Simale and the striker beat his marker to set up Jerome Baraka but the final shot was blocked by Vihiga's fast falling defenders.

In the 58th minute James Mukwhana was booked for kicking the ball long after the referee had pointed out that Vihiga should be given a free kick. In the dying stages of a lively Afraha affair Robert Arot should have opened the score for the home side but Barnabas Tiema's outstretched arm ensured the goal bound shot hits the bar.

The results remained the same as that of the first leg at Mumias Complex. The league Leaders will really have to up their game as the chase for promotion grows stiff with KCB, Ushuru and Nairobi Stima all in contention all eye a place in the Kenya Premier league next season.
