Western Stima bemoans Nakumatt draw

12 Oct, 18:41

Western Stima has not enjoyed the draw they were forced to register by Nakumatt FC at home turf in a midweek clash at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Brian Marita had put Stima ahead but a late strike by Victor Akenga ensured the two KPL rivals share points. The Powermen now confirms that they did not enjoy losing in the last stages of the match and that the equalizer left the players disappointed.

-It was disheartening conceding in the last 30 seconds of a match that we dominated from the word go. The players left the pitch disappointed knowing that we are still in a bad position. Anyway we thank God for the one point. The fans were marvelous as they turned up in good numbers, Stima said.

The Kisumu based outfit further thanked its fans for the large number that turned out especially after the club scrapped gate charges in bid to galvanize fans support in the last league matches that it must win to avoid relegation.

Stima will host their fellow struggling rivals Thika United.
