Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a loan move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

The forward has endured a difficult few years since making his England debut shortly after his arrival at Anfield in 2015.

Ex-Burnley star Ings has suffered a succession of knee injuries on Merseyside and has only made one appearances this season from the bench.

And now the Shields Gazette are claiming that the Magpies are ready to offer him the opportunity to play in January.

The  25-year-old insisted last week that he was not looking to move away for Liverpool.
