Your negativity cost you, Zoo quash Nzoia's bad officiating claims
Zoo FC team manager Lazarus Yogo has quashed Nzoia Sugar's claims that match officials favoured his side leading to the two all draw between the two sides on Wednesday 11 October in Kericho.
Zoo scored a late equalizer to deny the millers maximum points from the clash and Nzoia TM Evans Kadenge in an interview with Futaa.com bashed centre referee Hosea Omondi for not handling the match properly leading to his side dropping two points.
Yogo has now leapt to the refs defense saying Nzoia are being dishonest. According to Yogo, Nzoia's 'negativity' led to the draw between the two sides.
-Nzoia are being dishonest and it's unfair to point fingers at the ref over some decisions including an offside call, flagging an offside is the work of the assistant referee not the centre referee and I think they are being unfair by victimizing referee Hosea Omondi, he said.
Yogo adds that Nzoia resorted to time wasting in the second half and finally cracked owing to pressure the home team piled in the second half.
-Nzoia have themselves to blame, they played so well in the first half, scored two good goals but came back with a negative approach after the break. They started wasting time even before the 60th minute and we kept piling pressure until we got the equalizer. I know it's painful to concede a late goal but that shouldn't be a reason to tarnish match officials' names, he added.
Zoo will have another opportunity to return to winning ways on Saturday 14 October when they take on Ulinzi Stars at Kericho Green Stadium.
