NRB Stima up to fourth as controversy mar newbies Isibania, Black Stars tie

National Super League tie Nairobi Stima return within the promotion mix after edging Nakuru AllStars 1-0 in Naivasha as Black Stars were held 1-1 by Isibania i  a match marred with controversy in Awendo.

Brian Musa 38th minute strike saw Ibrahim Shikanda side on a perfect start and the hosts never looked back.

A defensive lapse almost had hosts double their lead minutes to the break but AllStars back line reacted first to avert the danger. 

The win however proved sufficient to move Stima above Wazito.

Elsewhere in Awendo, the script of controversy in the league's homestretch saw Isibania and Black Stars clash temporarily interrupted after the visitors protested a controversial equaliser.

Henry Onyango set up for Tony Baraza for a 40th minute opener only for the visitors to be pegged back in the 75th minute.

 Collins Saka rose highest to nod in a  corner with the assistant signalling that ball's had veered of the pitch 

Officials differ

The centre referee however gave the goal promoting a protest from Godfrey Oduor team, who fancied a win to leapfrog tenth placed  Isibania.

None of the side managed a goal after clam returned. The pair settled for a point apiece as well maintain their own position in the standings
